So your attempt to compare two different ways of moving forward (yours
and another) has unexpectedly failed.  The situation looks hopeless
too, because you now doubt that such comparisons could ever work in
principle.  In other words, you now doubt the first 4 steps of your

Or what would be better?  We want to accurately document the steps
forward that you and Meinungsfindungstool sincerely recommend, which
means the steps you're actually willing and intending to take.
