Dear MAB,

of course, we want you with us! It would have been easier, if a delegate of the Swedish Pirates would have been present in the Online Conference, so we could have taken your opinions and requirements directly into account.

The reason for the time limit on the veto is the German GA on the 30.11/01.12.2013 where we would have liked to at least be able to vote on the finished working group proposal. As it is unsure, if we will be able to do so later on at all. We will try, but cannot promise anything.

So I urge you to send us any vetos as soon as you know about them. For any vetos later than the 29th of November, I will have to account for in the introductory text of our proposal to the GA.

So I (and hopefully the rest of PP-DE) would accept that you would send in vetos later than the date set, but I cannot speak for the other parties. But hope it would be o.k. for them as well.

But this should not allow all other parties the same leeway, but be an exception only for you (and any other parties with good reasons to ask for an extension).

After all, any other party may still veto indirectly by not adopting certain parts of the CEEP until the 6th of January. But as you cannot vote on it anymore at all, you are in a different situation.

Best regards,

Martina

Hi all,

The Swedish Pirate party will need at least until the 8th of December for our board to look through the proposals and see if we need to veto anything.

I would strongly urge you to adapt the timetable accordingly to make it possible for the Swedish Pirate Party to be part of the CEEP.

Best regards,

Mab

Dear all,

late last night after three exhausting nights of debates we finally finished working our way through all amendment proposals for the Athens version of the Common European Election Programme.

You can find information on the Online Conference and the finalised version of the Proposal of a CEEP here:

http://ppeu.net/wiki/doku.php?id=programme:conferences:ceep_online2013

We also agreed on the following steps towards a CEEP:

Milestone 3: until November 29th

The parties will have about a week to veto any part of the programme that is still not acceptable to them, and the remaining bits will compose the finalized European Common Program proposal to be approved by the parties.

Please send any vetos to pp-eu.programme AT lists.pp-international.net.

Milestone 4: until January 6th

Those parts of the CEEP proposal which have been ratified or accepted by all Pirate parties voting or deciding on it until then will together build the CEEP. So from this point onwards, the text of the CEEP is fixed.

Milestone 5: until the elections of the European Parliament

Any other EU Pirate Party which hasn't ratified or decided on the provisions of the CEEP-Proposal before, may adopt (only) the complete text of the CEEP and then become part of the common election effort.

So please discuss the text inside your Pirate Party and send any vetos you might have (hopefully none) to certain sentences or paragraphs in until the 29th of November midnight.

Please remember that this proposal is based on consent and therefore many important matters had to be left out. But any party is free to add their own national programme topics to supplement their national election programme.

Best regards,

Martina
