Measures to control the legal possession of (fire)arms

Mr Opstelten, the Minister of Security and Justice, has written a letter 
to the Lower House, in which he writes that he has agreed with the Royal 
Dutch Shooting Association (KNSA) on an extensive set of measures 
concerning the exercise and organisation of target shooting These measures 
are taken with a view to putting clean target shooting first and to limit 
the risk of legal target shooting weapons abuse as much as possible.....

...Target shooting must remain devoid of the training of specific skills 
needed for the offensive use of firearms. *Dynamic shooting disciplines 
will therefore no longer be allowed.* Furthermore, the potential 
undesirable attraction of offensive training, types of weapons, tools and 
(camouflage) clothes on susceptible individuals needs more severe rules. 
All efforts should be made to prevent that so-called 'lone wolves', 
terrorists operating of their own accord, are given the opportunity to 
train the use of weapons by participating in target shooting.
