Word! The pirate party should offer a professional program to help people to become literate!
To me, the value proposition doesn't really add up. I came to realize that I simply can't pay the opportunity cost (saying no to job/promotion/degree/girlfriend/family) without feeling shitty about myself.

i'm busy with getting my own business up and running and also deepen my knowledge in node.js.
i'm planning to return to being more involved in the future, but currently its not my top priority.
my long term goals still include helping advance "AG Meinungsfindungstool" and "AG GOuFP" :-)
i followed both fore aproximately a year or so and participated very intense, especially in "AG GOuFP".
My conclusion is, that talking wont bring us far, but doing. We need more programmers actually doing stuff, so that there will be VISIBLE PROGRESS which can be discussed, experimented with and feedback can be given.
The pirate party should offer a professional program to help people to become literate!
...once there was "reading & writing" as skills only known by a minority of people. The average person could not participate.
The new literacy of our times is programming and those who can not program are excluded from the dialogue that will shape the future of mankind. The more programmers we have in the party, the faster progress will be, because OPEN SOURCE is currently actively shaping the political landscape by defining how people will interact online, where all the discourse will take place....

I disussed this with Tim (he is currently inactive, unfortunately) in the
very beginning of our d!sco implementation, but for now, I am afraid we do
not have enough man power to follow up this road right now...

i stumble upon DISQUS more and more often and i see a lot of activity is
there.
It has been created by the people behind "Stack Overflow" and it can be used
on any website, allowing users to communicate with each other using their
existing account/identity.
It doesnt have so many rules to structure the discussion, but some basics,
but it has a lot of traction, so maybe it would be nice to also keep in
mind, that those kind of plattforms should be able to integrate with d!sco
too, at least on a very basic level :-)
...that would immediately give a lot of input to everything that tries to
use d!sco :-)
