Dear Pirates,

This year, Madrid will receive the LGBTIQ community for the World Pride 2017.

In Spain, we have a new Piratas LGBTIQ group, as part of Pirate Movement, and I'm talking on behalf on them in this mail.

They want to participate in the WP but they would like that Pirates around the world to join them, especially those LGBTIQ Pirates.

The idea is to rent a float full decorated with pirate flags and asist to the Pride Parade [1] next Saturday, July 1st [2] and other activities we could discuss in the 1st mumble meeting [3][4]. 

As some of you may know, apart from the World Pride parade, in Madrid we celebrate what we call the "critical pride". This is a smaller parade focused on keeping the true meaning of the Stonewall riots and (as much as we can) not impregnated of the capitalism and merchantability which is sometimes shown in the big Pride Parades (which are almost always sponsorized by big companies). Please keep in mind that in this parade we would march as the Pirate Movement (since political parties are not allowed in this kind of manifestation).

Also, please notice that some of us would gladly host you and/or try to find you a cheap accomodation, even a couchsurfing solution ;)

One of the ideas we had that could be superb (but we would obviously need your help since it's not a small task) is to try and bring Chelsea Manning to our little Pirate LGBTIQ convention and maybe try to set up some talks/debates about the position of the LGBTIQ community all around the world.

We are really open to all the ideas you may have so we can make this a big chance to meet each other and also to create bonds between all the pirates around the world :D

We'll close this poll next Thursday March, 16th, and please, leave your email on the comments to forward the settled date.
