[IT-SecNots] Heads up: CiviCRM 5.28 and 5.27 ESR on Wed, Aug 19

There will be a security release for CiviCRM on Wednesday, August 19 (US/Pacific time). Patch updates will be provided for the following versions:

• CiviCRM v5.28
• CiviCRM v5.27 ESR

We expect the release to become available near the end of the day (US/Pacific - TZ conversions).

CiviCRM v5.28 is currently available as a release candidate (RC). It is scheduled for stable release on Wednesday, August 5. Security fixes will be provided as a subsequent patch-release. To download v5.28 RC, see http://download.civicrm.org/latest

Note: The minimum system requirements for MySQL have been tightened slighly in recent releases. CiviCRM v5.27 requires MySQL 5.5+, and CiviCRM v5.28 will require MySQL 5.6+ (or MariaDB 10.0.2+)
