[IT-SecNots] Heads up: CiviCRM 5.24 and 5.21 ESR on Wed, Apr 15

There will be a security release for CiviCRM on Wednesday, April 15 (US/PDT). Patch updates will be provided for the following versions:

• CiviCRM v5.24
• CiviCRM v5.21 ESR

We expect the release to become available near the end of the day (US/PDT - TZ conversions).

CiviCRM v5.24 is currently available as a release candidate (RC). It is scheduled for stable release on Wednesday, April 1. Security fixes will be provided as a subsequent patch release. To download v5.24 RC, see http://download.civicrm.org/latest

Note: There have been some recent work on deprecating support for PHP v7.0. This does not affect the April security releases (v5.24, v5.21) which will still support PHP v7.0. However, in CiviCRM v5.25 (May 2020), we do expect the minimum to increase to PHP v7.1
