Please consider this Remarks to the final version:


1. General Structure

I hope, that new chapters of the CEEP 2019 are placed (or replacing old chapters) inside the CEEP 2014, that they will fit in his structure.

2. Climate Action, Energy, Paragraph 3 (near to the end)

The sentence „Independent Experts have to come from somewhere.“ seems to be redundant and might be cut out. Does it mean „Independent Experts have to come NOT from somewhere.“?

3. Anti-corruption, first sentence

Bad wording „The influence of money...“ What does this mean? „The influence of prices on the market“? Find a better wording, e.g. „The influence of private financial interests...“.

4. Health Care,  Paragraph 12 starting with „It is noticed that austerity measures...“

It is a mess: It seems, that two different papers with similar statements are copied together. Compare Paragraphs 1 + 2 to Paragraph 14: It states just the same, but in other words. Additionally the very long list of 26 points has a lot of redundancy compared with the other paragraphs.

My recommendation:

Delete the text starting from „It is noticed that austerity measures...“ to the end of the list of 26 points.

Many of you already received an e-mail from me with specific information related to your CEEP working group - and this is a summarizing e-mail for everyone ever involved to give it the last push!

First things first: in the documents below, I will consider everything after the 20th December the final version (if not told by the working group differently!). So please bear this in mind. We're finalizing! Nothing new, just editing and polishing. :)

Also please read this important piece of information: Everything is more or less finalized and just needs a final check or just a little bit of editing. That doesn't count for Health Care, which kindly submitted PPGR, but isn't checked at all and we need to decide, whether there is an agreement among parties about it or not. If no one makes any changes to it till the deadline, I will scratch that section. Second unfinished business are Taxes. The working group promised me soon a finalization, but I'm pointing it out nevertheless. Lastly it is Digital Affairs and Foreign Affairs & Defense - please, if you have any experts, let them have a look at it and connect them with the working groups. We need you to make it!
