We have another call for input, and this time it is on a topic that I think we should really challenge ourselves with, elderly. Honestly, we need to consider heavily how to include the elderly in online forums. The request is for up to 800 words per topic, and there are 4 topics. We can write about one or all four. There is also an opportunity for our NY reps. to speak, although I really think we should find someone who is an expert on this specific issue if we do request to speak.

Who would like to collaborate on this document? Please share with relevant colleagues.

Dear colleagues,

The Chair of the General Assembly's Open-ended Working Group (OEWG) on
Ageing, Ambassador Martín García Moritán, Permanent Representative of
Argentina to the United Nations, invites non-governmental organizations
with ECOSOC Status and previously accredited organizations to the
Open-ended Working Group on Ageing, to provide:

* Substantive inputs on the two focus areas of the 10th session,
namely "SOCIAL PROTECTION AND SOCIAL SECURITY INCLUDING SOCIAL
PROTECTION FLOORS" and "EDUCATION, TRAINING, LIFELONG LEARNING AND
CAPACITY-BUILDING" in the context of older persons. Please refer to
attached “guiding questions” on each of the focus areas. Inputs
should be in English and of no more than 800 words per focus area.
* Substantive inputs, in the form of normative content for the
development of a possible international standard on the protection of
the rights of older people to “AUTONOMY AND INDEPENDENCE” and
“LONG-TERM AND PALLIATIVE CARE”; the two focus areas of the previous
9th session of the Working Group. Please refer to attached “guiding
questions” on each of the focus areas. Inputs should be in English and
of no more than 800 words per focus area.

Kindly note that inputs should be sent to AGEING AT UN.ORG by 1 FEBRUARY
2019.

The 10th session will be held from 15 to 18 April 2019 at the United
Nations Headquarters in New York. For more information about the session
