Hello!

As from te aftermath we hereby know that there had been a meeting today
- not even taking into account the proposal made by PPDE.

So PPDE is eager to learn how the needed signatures for a registration
of the PPEU will be taken care of. There is no hint in the minutes. As
we can see, no formalities on this behalf have been taken care of.

PPDE will stick to its decision as we know that this effort is – again –
to no avail to get the PPEU registered .

The problem has occurred twice! PPDE had made the proposal to take care
of this - this time with a specific team - for a good reason why. Nobody
showed up at the very board meeting the proposal ought to be have
discussed. And today it had just been neglected overall.

Here are the minutes of today,

best regards,

Thomas
International Coordinator PPDE
Member of the Council of PPEU

Meeting log

We decided last board meeting to hold the meetings half an hour
later (20h30). (Not sure if we wrote this down somewhere.)(No, I forgot
to write it in the minutes.)

We have no news from PPLU yet.

We have decided that worst case we can continue organising the
meeting without an active treasurer. The Council can solve that issue at
the meeting with the board nominations.

European Pirates mailing list still seems erratic. We have received
a few scattered emails here and there, but when we try to do tests, they
don't go through. Would be interesting to have them available during the
organisation of the CM.

Investigating the statutes in order to find out how much in advance
we must call for a Council Meeting:

"(7) The Council will meet at least once in a calendar year, more
often if requested by at least 1/4 of the Ordinary Members or by a
decision of the Board. Meeting may be in person or online. If the
Council meeting is in person, remote participation of non-attending
members shall be possible. The Board will prepare the meetings and
invite all members by email at least one month before the date of the
Council meeting. In urgent cases this time may be shortened to an
appropriate length. The invitation to the Council meeting has to
specify date, time, place and the draft agenda of the meeting. A link
to a website with the agenda in the invitation shall be sufficient and
necessary. "

Proposed date to start the Council Meeting: 25th of May.

Deadline for nominations for the Board: 25th of April.

Deadline for statutes changes or other proposals: 25th of April

Draft agenda

Opening of the meeting (25th of May)

Rules of procedure (25th-28th of May)

Decision on changes of statutes (29th of May until 5th of June)

Election of board (6th to 8th of June)

Membership fee (9th-12th of June)

Admission of new members (13th-14th of June)

Friuli Venezia Giulia Pirates haver resquested full membership to
European Pirates, or observer member, if it does not pass.

Closing of the meeting (15th of June)

From the European Pirates statutes:

"Proposals must be presented in writing by any means (electronic,
paper or otherwise) to the Board which will transmit them to the Members
of the Council for deliberation at least four weeks prior to the meeting
at which the Council will deliberate and decide on those proposals. The
proposed amendments to the Articles of Association must be attached to
the notice calling the meeting of the Council. A reference to a website
displaying the proposed changes of the Statutes would also be sufficient."

Regarding European Pirates bank account:

"There is a way to form a bank account for an association without
legal entity in belgium. that is what we have. but it is tied to one or
more physical person as there is no other legal entity."
