Hallo zusammen,
die frühere Europaabgeordnete der schwedischen Piratenpartei kritisiert jetzt
offen den Urheberrechtsentwurf von Julia Reda:
https://netzpolitik.org/2015/ex-piratenabgeordnete-kritisiert-reda-entwurf-zum-eu-urheberrecht-angela-merkel-haette-es-genauso-gemacht/
http://torrentfreak.com/pirate-party-mep-fails-to-deliver-true-copyright-reform-150125/
Aus meiner Sicht besonders ägrerlich dabei: Amelia Andersdotter ist aktuell
die Vorsitzende des Vorstandes der PPEU:
https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Europ%C3%A4ische_Piratenpartei

Dear all,
This is a heads-up:
Tomorrow I will publish a very critical article on TorrentFreak against
Julia Reda.
In my understanding, the European Commission currently manages to be
more radical and reform-friendly than the Pirates on an issue like
copyright, which is now effectively the case.
While the European Commission has readily admitted in its reponse to the
copyright consultation that European citizens have a large amount of,
including substantive, concerns on copyright law, Julia Reda has
presented a draft which at its finest refer to problems in database
right law - a legal framework Julia does not propose to change,
wherefore one must conclude she does not actually have the ambition to
act on her proposals. I believe this ignorance of popular concern, and
the futility of presenting a proposal which one does not want to act on,
is what is feeding fear and skepticism about democratic systems in
Europe at this time. Clearly, we must place higher demands on our public
representatives than that they willfully ignore the people, and
knowingly create confusing statements which the people cannot verify the
strength of without possessing a doctoral degree in law.
Please read the Commission document here:
http://ec.europa.eu/internal_market/consultations/2013/copyright-rules/docs/contributions/consultation-report_en.pdf
Technocrats seem to be our friends, and politicians our enemies, to
achieve the larger goal of a harmonized balanced economic and social
environment online.
best regards,
Amelia
