Dear Tony, dear Martina, dear Muriel, dear all,
I also believe having a draft before the meeting is a good thing and if it sounded differently from my previous email that is a communication failure on my behalf. I also assumed it would be a draft, and my suggestion to send it to us here in Brussels for comments when it was finalized was supposed to be read "when your group have finalized the draft and want to send it to the meeting" not "when you have a final version you want to present to the outside world." Sorry if that also was unclear.
I will not be able to attend a mumble meeting tonight or on Sunday, and as far as I know there is no other Swede on any of the PPEU-lists. So if you want input from Sweden it would be good if you could find some way of encouraging them to send someone. I have urged them to do so, but that is all I can do. I might be able to attend remotely, but as I land in Brussels early in the morning on the Saturday I don't know how much I'll be able to focus on the meeting.
Best regards,
Mab

Hello everyone, I am glad the Germans are preparing a proposal, I think it is a good way to kick start the group again. Remote participation will be possible. Just make sure whoever wants to participate remotely lets me know, and I will provide the information on how to participate remotely once we know how we will implement it (most likely a Mumble call). I'm not sure having 2 PPEU programmes is a good idea; however we can try to identify items that are not in every party's agenda, but that are likely to be in the future. Instead of 'forcing' common policy items, PPEU can be a channel that facilitates the exchange of ideas, resulting in a bottom-up convergence of our programmes. But consensus should still be necessary for an item to be officially adopted by PPEU itself.

thanks for the information. I think that to announce the mumble meeting for tonight just now might be a bit late to get everyone to attend. So Sunday might be better. But there needs to be an announcement soon (Tony? Please?).
We also might be able to finish our proposal until Sunday, but not until tonight.
Thanks for the information about the registration. I didn't register (yet), because i didn't know that I should also do this, if I could only participate remotely, as I didn't know, if remote participation would be possible anyway. But then I will register myself now.
Best regards,
Martina
