Die Mitgliedschaft ist kostenlos und man kann auch als Ausländer (bequem online) Mitglied werden. Die Mitgliedschaft ist nicht nur für euch als Souvenier interessant: Ung Pirat bekommt für jedes Mitglied staatliche Förderung, wenn ihr unter 26 seid, könnt ihr die Arbeit der Piraten in Schweden also ganz praktisch unterstützen! Es gibt einen Newsletter, den man aber natürlich abstellen kann. To be a member in Piratpartiet means that you become a part of Swedens most
powerful political voice for privacy, culutre and knowledge. <b>Membership is
free</b>, but we encourage voluntary donations no matter if you are a member
or not. You will get more information towards the end of the process.

Your personal information will be stored in a membership database which will
be used by Piratpartiets officers at your home location and by the system
administrators, who can be active in pirate parties in other countries.
Normally, your information will be anonymized three months after your
membership ends. There is an exception if you are involved in the partys
economy - in that case, we must store the information for ten years for
accounting by the swedish tax authority.
Step 2 of 7 - A few statistical questions

We ask these questions to have statistics about our members. The statistics
are public and have been published in multiple respected newspapers and for
example in Wikipedia.
Step 3 of 7 - How can we contact you?

We ask for this so we can contact you manually, but also to be able to send
you a newsletter and mails or SMS about local activities. You can set up what
you want to receive later. By default e-mail is on and SMS is off [TODO CHECK]
Step 4 of 7 - What password for the membership system PirateWeb do you want
to have?

You use this to log into the membership system, for example if you want to
request reimbursement for expenses or decide which newsletters you want, or
if you want to see how your local organization looks.

Step 5 of 7: How active do you want to be?
Passive - you will receive the newsletter, local messages and meeting
invitations, but no information about urgent actions and similar.
Activist - If the party does urgent actions and election campagining, you
will be informed about that (without being required to participate) by mail
or SMS. This is an indication that you want to be a active member.
Officer - If you want to be an officer and take responsibility for a part of
the work in your commune, or even lead the work in your commune, you are very
welcome to do so.
Step 7 of 7:
You are below 26 years and can therefore be a member in the youth
organization Ung Pirat. Check the box below if you want do that. If you do
not want that, simply continue.
Your personal information: If you become a member in the youth organization,
Piratpartiet will pass your personal information on to Ung Pirat.
