Some of you may have already received this invitation when it was
circulated for the first time mid-July, but as it was sent during a
holiday period, i'm taking the liberty of re-circulating it now.

Together with organisations and groups fighting the fracking industry in
the US, we will organise during the COP _*on December 10th a big
international anti-fracking gathering*_ which will offer to groups,
communities and organisations opposing fracking on every continent an
opportunity to meet, network, share experiences, build synergies and
develop joint strategies for the future.

In order to prepare this event as best as we can, and to make sure we
offer a suitable venue to welcome all the participants, we are asking
interested individuals, groups or organisations to write in this
document their contact details and plans for the COP:

keep people posted about the place of the event, the agenda, etc.

Dear all,

You probably saw the emails below - one on the Global Frackdown list and
one shared by Andy on this list - concerning an important international
anti-fracking convergence that will take place in Paris on December 10th
during the international climate negotiations that will take place in
the French capital.

There has recently been several discussions between several
anti-fracking European, North American and Australian groups concerning
possible joint plans for the COP in Paris. As many 'fracktivists', from
many regions of the world, will be present in Paris at this occasion, we
would indeed like to make the most of their presence to create a space
where we could all network, meet, share experience and hopefully discuss
about possible strategies for future international cooperation. This is
really an unprecedented opportunity to gather all, meet anti-fracking
activists from every continent, share experiences and hopefully come out
with a strong global anti-fracking message. This could also be the
opportunity to show to some French oil and gas companies our global
level of opposition. We are therefore also working on organising a
possible action at the end of this day of meeting.

We know that many people are already planning to be in Paris at the end
of the COP, when the biggest demonstrations organised by the civil
society will take place. After consultation with many groups, notably in
France, working on activities during the COP, we found that the 10th of
December would not clash with most of the activities already planned and
would allow us to organise this event when most of the people would be
in Paris.

like to invite you all to this large convergence that we are preparing
and that will take place on December 10th in Paris. *_
